IT Security Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for IT security professionals. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I've been looking through the GnuPG.org site, and many others to try and find a compiled version of GPG.exe for Windows.

I understand there is GPG4Win, however, I was looking for something a little more light weight. The encryption/decryption will be done via batch so I don't need a user interface. On top of that, I'm not very keen on how GPG4Win places key ring files on the current user's Documents and Settings Folder.

I currently have gpg.exe version 1.2.5, which is just a copy/paste to install, however, I need to upgrade to support higher bit algorithms.

Any help is really appreciated. Thanks

GPG4Win includes the graphical and non-graphical elements. You can choose to use only the command-line if you wish. Almost all folder locations can be altered by configuration. Refer to the documentation for details. Some information can be seen in security.stackexchange.com/q/12223/6249. – logicalscope Apr 18 '12 at 20:33
Hi Justin, welcome to IT Security. Please see the FAQ - though GPG itself is obviously related to security, where to find it isn't really on topic here. If you have questions as to when to use it, what settings to use, etc, those are definitely welcome here. – AviD Apr 18 '12 at 22:12
logicalscope, thanks for taking the time to provide more information, much appreciated – Justin Largey Apr 19 '12 at 4:41
Avid, just read the FAQ, I'm still not clear on how asking where to find GPG.exe is off topic. Care to explain? Perhaps this question can be improved to help others that come along. – Justin Largey Apr 19 '12 at 5:00
