I just want some advice for the implementation of a web filter for a school network. Just want to block some contents and url. A free tool should be fine I guess. Any recommendations? Thanks!

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.
Squid/Squidguard is kind of the de facto standard for this kind of thing. It's free and runs on Linux. This can work if your intent is to filter all traffic on the border of your network instead of installing a filter on each machine.
