I'm looking into buying a new Android tablet for pentesting / security auditing apps. Currently I've been using Acer A500 Iconia, but it does not have support for mobile networking which for my purpose at the moment is unacceptable.

I need to be able to root it, tunnel the traffic through a proxy and all the other nice stuff necessary for performing security audits.

Is there a tablet more suitable for my purpose than others, or will basically all be the same? Is there a recommended ROM for this purpose?
