I've heard that there are appliances/systems that can scan different media types (cards, USB, DVD, etc) using multiple AV engines (10+ engines).

Does anyone now of such a product? Logically I could build a PC with multiple media connections but how could I get 10+ AV engines running on the PC? If such an appliance did exist it would solve that problem nicely.

Thanks

You seem to be asking about a proposed solution to a problem, rather than the problem itself. Care to explain what underlying problem this aims to solve? – Polynomial Oct 24 '12 at 5:55

This is pretty close to asking for a product recommendation, which isn't the sort of content emphasized here. It is much more useful to ask a problem focused question, e.g. "I'm trying to write a virus that will elude most AV programs, how would I simultaneously scan one file with all existing AV products?" Yes, the above example is a joke (it's the only use case I can think of at this moment) – scuzzy-delta Oct 24 '12 at 8:01
