IT Security Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for IT security professionals. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Currently we have a remote site connected to our main location with a T1 serial connection. We just installed a 5520 ASA at our main site and have a cisco 2811 router with security pacakege on the remote site. Because of the slow speeds for the remote users over the T1 line We have a 50Mb Charter Modem terminated there. There are no servers or domain controlers at the remote site. Can we configure a LAN to LAN tunnel to pass all traffic , including internet traffic for filtering, back through the tunnel? I have a LAN to LAN tunnel configured but I am not sure what I need to do to route all traffic through the tunnel.

What is the question here? The title seems to ask if it is the best solution, which is not a real question here; and the final sentence seems to ask about network configuration, which is off topic. – Rory Alsop Nov 12 '12 at 22:33
Closing after a six hour window. Please feel free to edit it and flag for re-opening if you can provide enough details for us to understand what's going on. Since this does seem mostly focused on configuration, though, I'd also urge you to suggest looking at other sites in the StackExchange network where it may be more suited. – Jeff Ferland Nov 13 '12 at 4:54

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.
