I have heard of the Flash virus floating around, but after reading more I do not believe I have it.

When I go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

So that I can update, 'Install Now' will redirect me to their homepage without explanation.

I do not even want to imagine that they would do something so dumb, being that they make pretty much every product so that exactly this does not happen.

So given it is not a case of negligence, what could be going on?

(Running Mac 10.8.4 tried both Safari and FF)

Maybe its malware preventing you from installing? –  Rook Oct 14 '13 at 16:39

@Rook I have Ghostery and Adblock installed, tried disabling them. I do not think its malware as no one seems to have the same symptoms after googling, and I would suspect a malicious redirect among other oddities. Is it working for you? –  user417896 Oct 14 '13 at 23:22

Enable the Omniture tracker (it's Adobe Analytics's and if blocked, breaks their scripts). –  user34727 Nov 27 '13 at 7:07
