Dataflow diagram - how far do I need to drill down? Let me rephrase the question :). Lets say there is a Trust Boundary between the datastore A and Process B. Now, the SDL Presentation states that I know the DFD is detailed enough if there is a no Trust Boundary in the DFD. My question is how can I go deeper into other DFD level and omit the Trust Boundary. If I go deeper into the process B can I omit the Trust Boundary which is present on the more general level? |

Dataflow diagram - how far do I need to drill down? I have added an image to my question. I hope I can clearify my question: When I add more details to the elements of the data flow diagram do I dwelve deeper into the Processes and don't show the 'User','Commands' and 'Response' elements in the Level X DFD anymore? |

How long would it take a single Processor with the AES-NI Instruction Set to bruteforce an AES Key? Twofold meant that a quantum computer would need as much time for a 128bit key like we need today for a 64bit key. It would be a huge improvement. Thomas Pornin describes it pretty good in his answer: security.stackexchange.com/questions/6141/… |

How long would it take a single Processor with the AES-NI Instruction Set to bruteforce an AES Key? A quantum computer can do multiple operations in one cycle. Which would give it a competitive advantage while Bruteforcing AES. I think I read something in the line that it could reduce the amount of time to bruteforce AES twofold. |
