"The three chief virtues of a programmer are: Laziness, Impatience and Hubris." - Larry Wall
Laziness: I'm too lazy to do the same task repeatedly so write scripts to do that task for me. This makes people think I am intelligent.
Impatience: I'm too impatient to wait for my code to run so rewrite the code to improve performance. This makes people think I am a good programmer.
Hubris: When someone asks if I can do something I just say Yes, then go find out how to do it (Google!). This makes people think I can do anything.
Ultimately, it means I can make a career out of being Lazy, Impatient, and Hubristic(?).

Create a unterminable process in Windows @AJHenderson Yes, we use Active Directory and I know I've seen that error a few times when trying to kill a process from the network Administrator account, not just the local Admin account. Sometimes it's system processes, other times it's 3rd party programmers like AVG, and once or twice it's been Malware. Its not a problem I'm experiencing now so I probably would be no use at running tests, but I can confirm it's happened in the past :) |

Create a unterminable process in Windows @AJHenderson I work with a lot of XP machines at our company, and I can confirm this message does come up when trying to kill specific tasks in Task Manager, even when you are logged in as the Administrator (I've also encountered this error on Windows 7 too, even with Run As Administrator). It's not all Services though, only some of them. Also, this error isn't just limited to system processes, even though its mostly system processes that won't let you kill them. |

Is Google spying on all of us? Great answer, and I really like the bit "I'm a strong proponent of online privacy. However, I manage my online privacy by controlling the information I make available online." |
