I would love to own this kind of IP, but the reality is we do not have the skills, techniques, devices, manpower to 1) create the algorithm, 2) test the algorithm, and 3) maintain the algorithm ... |

Is my developer's home-brew password security right or wrong, and why? Thank you. I am equally frustrated, believe me. Dave is a great guy, and has done excellent work in the past. His reaction to all of this took me by surprise. He's missing some fundamental concepts that could be picked up with a simple Google search. I'm not trying to be vindictive or cruel, but I'm done trying to explain this to him. This is exactly the kind of feedback he needs ... |
