comment Can a Windows or Linux password be brute-forced on a public network?
@BobBrown, btw I do not even begin to know how an attacker might use a program, like oclHashcat, to mount a brute-force attack to gain remote access to the machine. As far as I know, authentication takes place through a GUI of some sort. Asking these specifics of how the attack works might deserve a new question.

@BobBrown , what "strong" meant to me in writing the question was not so precisely defined as in your answer. I just meant what in many places qualifies as a "strong" password. For example, one typical password requirement is to have at least 8 characters, including at least 1 uppercase, lowercase, and numeric character. You answered my question "is it possible?" with a yes, actually. But is it feasible? No.

Three days, how did you know? Would the OS lock the account from another login attempt after many unsuccessful attempts?

comment How to find a reliable private mail drop or ghost address provider? (Not CMRA)
@Lighty can you please update your answer to include a non-CMRA option? It would be a huge improvement I think, since if you reread the question it says, "A CMRA stands for a commercial mail receiving agency. Not a good option." Not my words. Your answer isn't bad! But it could be better.

@KnightOfNi that's not sarcasm about the "20 different things", is it?
