I am aware, that these are different operation. If you know about asymmetric signature method with a short signature - let me know. My Idea was to encrypt a known text with a PrKey, so that it can be decrypted with a PuKey. This would provide enough safety to trust, that the encrypted text comes from base Since you need the PrKey for encryption. Advantage: you only need to enter a short cypher to do validate the encryption, assumed that I can find an encryption method which can preserve the text length after encryption.

What I really want is to sign the 16 chars text, which comes from the base. The recipient ON A MOBILE PHONE should check whether the text was really encrypted by base. The input, which should be done on mobile clients should be as short as possible. So I am trying to protect the mobile receipients from text-forgery.
