Is my computer at risk of being hacked when using public Wi-Fi? As for sites where you are already logged in, beware of Session Hijacking which doesn't even require the "logging in" process to work against you. |

Is AES encrypting a password with itself more secure than SHA1? How will you pad it to be a min size? If with 0s then it's obvious to the hacker. How could you pad it in a way that it's not reversably apparent what is padding and what is encryption? |

How should I determine if an application transmits my credentials securely? Am I missing something? because this proposal sounds to me like "shoot the revolver at your foot and see if it hurts. If it doesn't then it's safe". In other words, if you determine in the packet information after the fact that the password was sent plaintext, then you just shot yourself in the foot. Correct? |

How should I determine if an application transmits my credentials securely? What about the risk of someone making an ad-hoc wifi spot with the same name as the public one? Then the attacker could do a man-in-the-middle attack, could he not? |
