What password-based encryption to use with standard Java 6? Thanks for the answer, but the example from the first link does not work with the default security policy shipping with Java (needs unlimited). The second one will probably work, but is MD5AndDES really the best that can be done with the default policy? |

What password-based encryption to use with standard Java 6? @Avid Seems my question was ambiguous. I'm not looking for a method to encrypt passwords, but a password based encryption method. Also note that my question is specific to Java in the sense that not all methods are allowed in Java (without a separate download). Please re-open. |
