Using GWT + GAE to make ActiveGrade. BS in Computer Science and Math, worked as an SDE at Microsoft, programmed for the University of Maryland for 3 years, and taught math and science at Scattergood Friends School from 2005-2010. I was the director of Shiloh Quaker Camp in Charlottesville, VA for three summers, and now I run a startup software shop making ActiveGrade!

I keep thinking, "well, they store other sensitive information on their computer - tax records, work files, etc." If we can educate the user to understand that the browser now has sensitive data, what's the difference between a sensitive file in localStorage and a sensitive file in C:\My Documents ?

I bring up the https only because users will expect a higher level of security when they see it. Thanks for the advice!

Every request is over https (to avoid exactly that issue). Thanks for the clarification!
