How does hacking work? For many attacks, the main focus is on making it into an admin or forgotten developer login. Once there an attacker can have his way with the system. |

What cryptographic module does Sql Server 2008 use to run in Fips 140-2 compliant mode by default? what is the certificate number on those, so that I can look it up? I think your probably right, but I'm not sure which 'certified cryptographic libraries' that you are referring to, and that's what the question is ultimately trying to get at. |

What cryptographic module does Sql Server 2008 use to run in Fips 140-2 compliant mode by default? Sql Server 2008 doesn't have a FIPS 140-2 certifaction. What component of this setup is certified? Only by running a certified 'cryptographic module' is on truly FIPS 140-2 compliant. AES are approved algorithms but they are only a part of FIPS 140-2 requirements. |

What cryptographic module does Sql Server 2008 use to run in Fips 140-2 compliant mode by default? Sure, I've seen that one, but my question is about what will be used by default when one enables FIPS 140-2 compliance, will it default to bitlocker? |

Are TPM chips or the equiavlent required for FIPS 140-2 security level 1 compliance? Sorry I didn't choose yours, it was still a good, correct response. |
