It took me 30 minutes to decrypt all of our system's encrypted passwords (including the master password used by our third-party provider for all their clients). I then dug into their program logic and found something like 30 lines of code that basically does this: https://xkcd.com/153/. Better yet, a portion of the program (created in 2015) actually stores passwords in plaintext. Talk about security fail. | |
