Feb 23, 2018 at 13:34 comment added schroeder I simply googled: "snort rule port list"
Feb 23, 2018 at 12:53 comment added Roberto I wanted to list all the links together and provide some brief for them but the box said I excedeed the length, so I did what I did you comply with the rules. And like I said, I did a quick research, not in depth, so as you can see, if you reviewed every link I provided, non of them showed your syntax solution, so I thank you for insight.
Feb 23, 2018 at 12:48 comment added Roberto Those are the sources I checked and helped me out a little bit. Some are in English and some are in Spanish, because when it comes to quest of finding what fits you best, multilanguage is key. Perhaps is the wording that makes the task confusing, or there are some tricks that are known but not shared, which for noobs like me, can bring light to my troubles. Thank you.
Feb 23, 2018 at 12:45 comment added schroeder So, this answer is factually incorrect
Feb 23, 2018 at 12:45 comment added schroeder Dumping a bunch of links is also not helpful - especially when they are not relevant. You found a bunch of links that do not talk about port lists. That does not mean that port lists are not possible. My link shows the syntax for port lists.
