Jun 9, 2020 at 6:16 comment added mentallurg @MikeScott: 2) CA validates the identity and doesn't care what names else Stephen King uses. They would only consider what he can proove. And he can only proove the name he has in his driving license / pass / credit cards / identity cards etc., i.e. legally he can only proove "Richard Bachman".

Jun 9, 2020 at 4:56 comment added Mike Scott From my point of view, Stephen King would have two certificates, one in the name of Stephen King and one in the name of Richard Bachman. Both certificates would be for the same identity, but would have different names.
Jun 8, 2020 at 20:36 comment added mentallurg @MikeScott: From your point of view, what first and last name would contain a certificate issued to Stephen King?
Jun 8, 2020 at 18:52 comment added Mike Scott For example, Stephen King wrote some books as Richard Bachman. He had a different name but the same identity, since he was in fact the same person.
Jun 8, 2020 at 17:40 comment added mentallurg @MikeScott: Explain where you see the difference. What is in your opinion the identity of organization, identity of a person?
Jun 8, 2020 at 17:33 comment added Mike Scott A digital signature validates the signer’s identity, not their name. An identity is not a name; the signer may be consistently using a pseudonym and have established this identity under that name.
