I'd like to clarify one thing - there are no fingerprint readers on Linux that fprintd trusts to be as secure as passwords; this is not limited to the modular Framework laptop. See gitlab.freedesktop.org/libfprint/fprintd/-/issues/175 for the details. This is why I asked the question really - why can macOS and Windows unlock passwords with fingerprints, but not Linux, which is a shame. | |
