At least as of Visual Studio 2008, NXCOMPAT and DYNAMICBASE are on by default. (They're on unless you specify /NXCOMPAT:NO or /DYNAMICBASE:NO ) (Well, NXCOMPAT is only on by default if you specify a subsystem greater than 6.0 required, but you need to target that subsystem to make much of a difference with NXCOMPAT anyway)
