Unexpected attachment inside PDF

Question

I have a PDF file that I downloaded in august last year. At that time, I opened it using Adobe Reader and didn't notice anything suspicious. Only today when I opened it in SumatraPDF did I notice that there was an additional last bookmark called "folder.joboptions". Since I already regularly scan my entire hard-drive for malware (including just a few days ago), I uploaded the PDF to VirusTotal and it came up clean.

So I felt adventurous and clicked the bookmark. It immediately popped up the Save-As dialog, and I proceeded to save the file. It was a small file (given below), and VirusTotal declared this file clean too. But I am still slightly suspicious and would like to know why it was on my PDF file. Unfortunately, I cannot provide the original PDF file, as it is only available for my personal use. Does anyone have an idea?

I should note that Evince (another PDF reader) does not display that additional bookmark, just like Adobe Reader, and that none of my other PDF files that I have opened using SumatraPDF have such a bookmark inside.

I'm asking because I couldn't find information on "folder.joboptions" anywhere else. I'm using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit if it matters.

This attached file is the joboptions used for creating the PDF (in Distiller). It does have some use in prepress/printing workflows. The fact that it has been attached means that the file has been created with printing in mind. (and to me it says that it is either relatively old, or created with a relatively old setup).

In the /Description you get more hints, if you look at the Dutch version of the description.

.joboptions files are harmless, and their use is to tell Distiller (or an application using the Adobe PDF generating library) how to make the PDF.

Some more information you can get by looking at the Document Properties (pressing Ctrl-D when it is open in Acrobat/Reader), and looking at the Creating application info.
