I have the following scenario. I'm hosting some services on a VPS. Each service is running inside an LXC container. Some services like email contain information that I would like to be stored encrypted on disk. Not because I don't trust my VPS provider but because I want to be sure that even when I'm not using physical drivers, none would have access to the data when they would allocate my old space to a new customer.
So from this point of view does it make sense to encrypt an LXC container? If so what is the easiest way?
PS: I don't want to use full disk encryption on the main host because this way when the machine will boot I would have to manually enter the password in order for the machine to complete the boot process.
