My original question's responses indicated that I need to have my small team generate their own public \ private keys for securing email.

So the question now shifts to selection criteria for a PGP Generator.

That being said, I need to keep it simple because I am asking volunteers to generate private / public keys and install the their private keys in the Outlook email clients so as to automatically decrypt any messages I send that is encrypted with their public key.

On the other hand, I am using the Thunderbird mail client. I suspect that if standards are followed, this should not make a difference, but I thought this should be mentioned.

What selection criteria should be considered when selecting a PGP Generator?

Is there any way to assess or is there consensus as to which PGP Generators are trustworthy?
