As a data science student with a infosec concentration, I'd like to create a project that involves analyzing a hospital's network traffic for threats.

New to the discipline, I am thinking about looking at user and entity behavior on the network, and/or IP addresses.

So my first question is where can I find datasets that I can analyze and build a model with?

    I'm sorry but this isn't specific enough for me. I want to try and understand and help. By data do you mean patient records (confidential stuff), or just any general data being sent over a network or stored on a computer. The term data can just be so large in what that might consist of. – J Doe Feb 10 at 7:44

    What do you mean? Do you want to work on data about health systems security or build a health security system? If it is the first option, what do you want to do with the data, statistics, AI? – Pedro Gomes Feb 10 at 8:36
  • I'd like to build a project that, for example, identifies possible threats on the network. Data set might be all IP addresses, or all device types (entity types?), that have accessed the network. – John Feb 10 at 14:35
