I have a security camera running on a raspberry pi through remote.it, and accessing it through a vpn, a fairly secure method so they say. would anyone use their time to gain access to the stream if it would not benefit them in anyway other than fun perhaps? (the camera is just pointing a field, they cannot get a house number or address from it.)

5Any service available on the Internet is subject to constant opportunistic vulnerability scans and brute force attacks. The content may bot be interesting, but the device left there could be abused as a part of a botnet, for sending spam etc. It may not attract the same amount of targeted interest, but that is certainly not the only security concern there is.– Esa JokinenJun 20 at 17:11
