Are there any risks to writing down your digital passwords on physical paper?

I am asking because I once saw on a website that you shouldn’t do this…

Any ideas, because I just really don’t see how anyone could steal them, unless a burglar broke in, stole it, and then used it on you.

Because at that point you’d have bigger problems.

  • "Bigger" problems? I can replace stuff. Access to all my passwords is not something I can properly mitigate. ID theft is a much, much bigger risk and a problem than a lot of people consider. Some people spend years trying to battle a stolen digital identity.

  • BTW, I copy/pasted your question title into google and got all those duplicates. Make sure to do some googling before posting questions.
