"PUF CRPs authentication requires trust in manufacturer since it's him who performs the storage of CRPs".

So does it mean that we have to trust manufacturer, because he could replace the legit chip with a fake one and then calculating all the CRPs again and storing the fake one so that all seem ok?

  • When would this "replacing" act be performed?

  • @schroeder by the manufacturer, before chip is distributed to market

  • Why are you worried about the chip being swapped at the time of manufacture? What trust would be broken?
