  • If you don't understand why the browser dev tools show a <script> tag that doesn't seem to be executing, that's a valid question except I think it's already been asked and answered on this site (short version: the dev tools are transparently decoding the encoded HTML entities like &lt; that are actually present in the DOM)

  • there are also ways to add to the DOM without ever executing/eval-ing the code... still worth testing for some kind of click-jacking though? Commented Sep 4 at 18:21
