Background in Network Engineering, Network Security, ISP level BGP Peering, Application Development (current in Java, Python, smattering of other languages including long dead languages). Degree in Computer Science as well as Electronic Engineering. Been doing the "Large Scale" thing for over 20 years starting back at Sun Labs being involved with the Cluster One project and looking to the future (back in the 90's) of how to get hundreds if not thousands of machines to work together (today those numbers seem small as I've been working on data centers with 20k-50k servers over the last decade).
