I wrote my first line of code in 1993.

Today, I am a professional software developer/engineer/programmer in various fields of interest. I have worked as a freelance developer, was a PhD student at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden, Germany and am now working as a software engineer/architect at Zühlke Engineering GmbH.

I am not too much into specific technologies, as I try to just use what gets the job done. But most of my experience comes from Java (6 and some EE5), C++ with boost (more "modern" stuff, i.e. C++11/14/17) and more recently also some C#/.NET 4.5. In my dark past as a "web developer" I also abused PHP and some Javascript (when jQuery was the new thing!).
